How to replace blower motor resistor for 2000 Dodge Caravan

When the resistor fails, the blower motor will run at a single speed or may not run at all. Mine ran at only the high speed which is not good on a cold morning. It is located on the firewall, passenger side.

The resistor is on the firewall, highlighted by the light

1)    Unplug the electrical connector from the resistor. There is little room with which to squeeze the locking tab. A long straight blade screwdriver is helpful.
2)    Remove the resistor from the firewall. It snaps into place in the firewall opening with spring clips that are part of the resistor.
3)    Snap the new resistor in place.
