How to re-attach a gas tank cap in five minutes

When your factory gas tank cap plastic attachment breaks, leaving the cap loose and easy to lose, fix it with a drill and a couple of zip-ties.
    1) Drill a small hole in the top of the cap.
    2) Feed a small zip-tie through the hole, leaving about an inch loop of free play in the tie before cutting of the excess.
    3) Feed a second eight inch zip tie through the old attachment point on the fuel door and through the small tie you just mounted in the cap. Leave enough free play in the loop to allow the cap to be turned on and off.
    4) Test it  by taking the cap on and off a few times. Clip off the excess from the tie so it can't be shortened.
